In our bakery, we produce ‘Real Bread’ using traditional methods and simple honest ingredients. The fundamental ingredient in our recipes is TIME. We don’t rush the baking process so you get bread with depth of flavour and excellent keeping qualities. When we bake in our wood-fired oven, the flavour is further enhanced.
Every day we bake our favourites, Bara Havard (white with rye) and Bara’r Felinwr (seeded wholemeal) and then supplement these with a daily changing range of bake house breads, Harvest Cob (granary style) Bara Brown as well as Talgarth Mill Brown which is baked with the lovely flour, ground next door.
We flavour some of our bakehouse breads with quality ingredients from local suppliers; Blaenafon Smoked Cheese and Leek, Olive Breads, Apricot Bread, amongst other favourites.
Our enriched breads and pastries are popular and include Finnish Fruit Plait, Cinnamon Buns and Almond Twists.
Bakers’ Bread Club
If you are a frequent customer, we have launched the ‘Bakers’ Bread Club’. Offering discounts for advance ordering we bake on a Tuesday and Saturday to ensure our regular customers are guaranteed bread in our busier months. If you are interested in joining, call in, phone or email.
Discounts are 50p on large loaves, 25p on small loaves and 30p on bake house loaves and 10p off baps and pastries.
Talgarth Country Market
We now attend the market on the 1st Sunday of each month (except Jan) where we offer a large selection of daily and bakehouse breads and pastries.
