Thanks for all your messages of support and congratulations following our appearances on Britain’s Best Bakery. We were winners of the Regional Heat for Mid and North Wales but were beaten in the Regional Final for Wales and Central England by Birmingham Bakers Maison Mayci.

In our bakery, we produce ‘Real Bread’ using traditional methods and simple honest ingredients. The fundamental ingredient in our recipes is TIME. We don’t rush the baking process so you get bread with depth of flavour and excellent keeping qualities. When we bake in our wood-fired oven, the flavour is further enhanced.
Our popular breads Bara Havard (white with rye) and Bara’r Felinwr (seeded wholemeal) are supplemented with a range of other breads including Harvest Cob (malted granary) Bara Brown, and Bara Gwyn.
We flavour some of our breads with quality ingredients from local suppliers; Blaenafon Smoked Cheese and Leek, Welsh Cheddar and herb, Goats Cheese and local honey to name but a few.
Our enriched breads and pastries are also popular, these include Cinnamon Twists, Hot Cross Buns, Fruit Plait, and Stollen.
Bread Making Courses

Meg has had a life long passion for baking & a deep interest in the production of good quality locally sourced food. She recently spent a year studying artisan baking, flour confectionery & dairy at the highly rated School of Artisan Food in Nottinghamshire. Armed with an advanced diploma in artisan baking Meg is on a mission to bring baking and bread making to everyone. She is especially keen to get children interested in baking and food production.

Talgarth Country Market
We attend the market on the 1st Sunday of each month (Feb-Nov) and the first Saturday December where we offer a selection of breads and pastries.
